I work in a local school in the English department and part of my role is to build up classroom displays so that the classrooms look really good. The only problem is that, often I spend a long time making the displays look absolutely lovely, a couple of days later they are ruined by the students who deface or destroy them. I talked to my head of department about this problem and suggested that we put a Perspex sheet over the display to protect it. However, she said that if we put a Perspex sheet over every display in the school it would cost a fortune. She did, however, say that the annual school open evening was coming up and that this was one time that the school was prepared to invest the money to ensure that a Perspex sheet was available for each display in the school.. Obviously, the reason for this is that the school has to be as pristine as possible so that prospective parents will want to send their children to the school. If the displays were ripped and torn it would give a very bad impression of the school. Not only would parents think that teachers had no discipline in the school but they would not want their children mixing with others who perpetrated this sort of thing. Whatever the reason I am glad that I can cover my displays and make them last.
Winter seems to have come upon us so quickly this year. I cannot believe it seems like two minutes ago we were sitting out in the garden having long lazy evenings and now we are sitting huddled by the radiator. It has made me really sad because I love making the most of my garden and now I am going to have to wait until next year. This weekend I decided to pack away all my garden furniture for the winter, cover it with a plastic sheet and put it away in the shed until spring to protect it. However, once I had put the plastic sheet over everything it quickly became apparent to me that not all of the furniture would fit into the shed. I have six large garden chairs and a good sized table and the shed already has lots of paint and other things inside. I telephoned my father for some advice about what to do and he said that I had no choice but to leave the table outside for the winter. He told me that if I covered the table with the plastic sheet then it should be alright. He said that, because the chairs were inside the shed, that they should not really need covering up. I followed his advice but I must admit it looks a sorry sight in the garden at the moment.

Uses range from balcony or shower screens to lamp covers. Anti-reflective: With a fine texture to one side and film protection to both, prevents glare. PC anti-reflective is easy to form and is popular within the advertising market.
RPC: only in black and with a textured finish to one side. Polycarbonate ext. sheet is highly resistant to UV light making this ideal for outdoor uses as well as thermoforming applications.
Extruded polyethyleneterephthalate glycol PETG sheet / PETG clear Sheet. With a highly smooth surface with protection to both sides. PETG is food safe, with good chemical
resistance and excellent optical properties (3mm light transmission = 88%). Easily fabricated and vacuum formed with good all-round thermal resistance at low temperatures. Used for machine guards, poster glazing, signs etc.
Ext. Polyethleneterephthalate PETG sheet / PETG clear frost sheet. Extruded PETG frost with matt effect to one surface with protection on both sides Produced in clear as well as a range of colours.
Extruded Acrylic Sheet. Extruded Perspex sheet a highly smooth surface with protection to both sides. Offers excellent transparency (3mm light transmission = 92%), good mechanical properties and very good weathering performance. Used in signage to light covers.
Ext. high impact (50%) Acrylic sheet / Acrylic clear sheet. High impact acrylic, or Perspex sheet has a highly smooth surface with protection on both sides. Offers improved resistance from cracking as well as maintaining nearly all acrylic and Perspex characteristics.
Ext. Acrylic mirror sheet /Acrylic silver Mirrored Sheet. A highly smooth surface with film protection to one side. Available in silver, and in a range of colours. Mirrored acrylic, or mirrored Perspex is much lighter than glass and is easily formed and fabricated. Used from road safety, to domestic shaped mirrors.
Ext. Polycarbonate mirror sheet / Polycarbonate silver sheet. Mirrored PC has a highly smooth surface with film protection on one side. Available in silver and in a range of colours. Mirror PC has all the advantages as with Mirrored acrylic, or Perspex, but is virtually unbreakable in normal use.
Ext. Acrylic rod / Acrylic clear rod. Perspex clear rod. Extruded With a smooth finish in clear. Though brittle, it has good mechanical/tensile strength, hardness and is easily polished. Used in many industrial and domestic uses, such as lighting.
Ext. Acrylic square bar /Acrylic clear bar. Perspex clear bar. With a smooth finish in clear. Offers an alternative to cutting/polishing from sheet.
Ext. Acrylic tube / Acrylic clear tube, Perspex clear tube. With a smooth finish. A highly clear product used predominantly within the display industry.
Acrylic cast sheet /Acrylic clear sheet. Perspex clear sheet. With a highly smooth surface and protection to both sides. Offers improved light transmission over extruded (3mm light transmission = 93%). Much lighter and with improved impact resistance compared to glass of equivalent thickness.
Acrylic cast sheet frosted both sides. Perspex frosted sheet. Frosted with film protection on both sides. With a sandblasted surface to create scratch resistance.
Acrylic cast sheet matt one side / Acrylic cast sheet clear/ Acrylic cast sheet opal/ Acrylic cast sheet black - With film protection on both sides and a fine emboss to one surface. Available in clear, opal and black.
Acrylic cast sheet white / Acrylic cast sheet opal In shades of white and opal. With a highly smooth surface and protection to both sides. Provided in a series of light transmissions ranging from 4% to 84%.
Acrylic cast sheet / Acrylic cast sheet Fluorescent. Perspex fluorescent sheet. A highly smooth surface with film protection on both sides.

Acrylic cast sheet / Acrylic cast pearlescent sheet. A highly smooth surface with film protection on both sides. This product changes colour depending on the angle of view.
Acrylic cast sheet / Acrylic cast sheet metallic. A highly smooth surface with film protection on both sides. With the appearance of metal but with a lower specific weight. Exhibits many display possibilities.
